How it all began. . .
Already in the middle of the 80s, today’s agency owner Jürgen Schreiter created the Nickname (nickname) for his birthplace Frankfurt.
Some years later, around 1988, the first Bembeltown textiles were produced. At the beginning only for a small circle of insiders.
In 1989 the label Cannibal Couture Clubwear was founded and larger editions of the “Bembeltown” textile collections went into circulation.
In the same year, Jürgen Schreiter, now owner of an advertising and production agency, had the name Bembeltown protected as a registered trademark.
The first international appearance attracted the Bembeltown brand in 1999, when Jürgen Schreiter won the European Design Award with a social sponsoring campaign for the Frankfurt AIDS Awareness Association, entitled “UNITED CONDOMS OF BEMBELTOWN”.
2010 – Redesign and extension of the Bembeltown brand with a wider product range. There are now sportswear and jewelry from Bembeltown Design in addition to T-shirts, caps and bemblesocks.
In February 2013, Jürgen Schreiter designed the first Hessian Dirndl or Bembel Dirndl, and in the meantime they are available in many different variations.
To a Dirndl, of course, also the matching leather pants belong, and so there are for men now also the corresponding Lederhosen, with or even without Hessian costume motifs.
