Born and raised in Herzeliya, Israel, Ms. Tzur began her career as a ballet/musical theatre performer. She graduated from the prestigious Telma Yalin Arts School with a scholarship provided by the America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF) and became a member of the world-renowned Bat Sheva Dance Company lead by Ohad Naharin.
After completing her Israeli Defense Force military service as a counter intelligence officer, Ms. Tzur moved to NYC where she continued her training at the Lee Strasberg Institute and the Atlantic Theater Acting Company. She appeared on Broadway in the original cast of Cabaret and off-Broadway in Cleopatra and was recruited to perform for Monte Carlo’s Royal Family in productions at Monte Carlos’ Sporting Theater, in Marrakech for the annual King’s Gala and she appeared in numerous concerts with leading artists like Elton John, Liza Minnelli, Paul Anka, Julio Iglesius and many others throughout the U.S. and Europe.
Ms. Tzur’s television credits include being a series regular on Comedy Central’s hit show, Viva Variety, directed by Mark Gentile; guest star/reoccurring appearances on FX’s Rescue Me with Denis Leary, NBC’s 30 Rock with Alec Baldwin, Fox’s Fringe, HBO’s How to Make it in America and Oxygen’s Body of Work. Film credits include The Stepford Wives, The Devil Wears Prada, The Pink Panther, The Last Dance, Junk and My Father My Don.
Ms. Tzur is the former president of Multi Ethnix Entertainment Group and has acted as artistic director for numerous cabaret dance performances, fashion shoots, fitness commercials and independent film shorts. She recently founded One Circle Productions, LLC, which has fostered unique projects including the New York premiere of Naomi Ragen’s critically acclaimed play, Women’s Minyan, directed by Tovah Feldshuh; Hinton Battle’s urban musical, Love Lies; Bat Zvi-Harel’s Listen (תישמעי); the full-length feature Taking the Stand with Priority Films; and currently One Circle Productions is in development with MTEAF on a new cabaret show entitled The Divine Goddesses.
Mira’s face and voice have been linked to many national TV campaigns and commercials including major department stores, international banks, pharmaceutical companies, fashion, health/fitness and nutritional products and she has been a spokesperson for many products and services throughout the U.S. Recently, Ms. Tzur has been commissioned to write her first book-a journey and guide into the commercial and print/modeling lifestyle-recapping her experiences as a busy model over the past 20 years.
