Port Orchard Roofing was born in November 2007, and our goal is to provide customers with the best bang for their buck. We offer competitive pricing without slashing the quality of material or installation.
Hi, my name is Bill Mathwig and I am the owner of Port Orchard Roofing. I have lived in Kitsap County nearly my whole life, and I graduated from Klahowya Secondary School in Seabeck. I can’t imagine any place I would rather have as my home base and the place where I run my business.
I’ve been working on roofs in Kitsap County for nearly a decade now, so if I haven’t already worked on your roof, chances are good that you can see one of my roofs on your daily commute. In fact, if you’ve been in the area very long, you might have met me when I was just a schoolkid going door-to-door looking for lawn mowing and yard maintenance work. I’ve always been that kind of go-getter.
I spent four years out of high school working on informal paid apprenticeships with roofing contractors in the county. I wanted to hone my skills by learning from a lot of different people. Every different contractor has their own way of doing things. After four years of working and learning from as many people as I could find, I decided to combine the best parts of all the ways I’d learned and open my own business.
Experiences with many of the contractors in the county has given me the ability to put together an efficient operation using the best combination of each best practice I could learn on my way to opening this business. I look forward to talking to you more about your specific needs, and how I can best meet them.
