I have been in the home building business since I was 17 years old and consider myself one of the luckiest people in the world to still absolutely love what I do!
I started by helping my father out when he was building a home for his family, which includes my mother, 3 older sisters, and myself. As the project was nearing completion, a buyer offered a price for the home and, to my mother’s dismay, he accepted. He then bought two more parcels and build two homes there, both of which were sold quickly.
Since my dad was employed full time at a law firm, I use to help him out daily, opting to hang out of the construction site, even when nobody was there, rather than go to classes while attending George Mason University. My stint at GMU did not last long and I continued to help out with the construction business (although I did finally obtain my undergraduate degree and eventually my MBA from The George Washington University).
I started to focus on the things about the business that I enjoyed most, including design and the construction process. Since venturing on my own, I have designed and built homes that range in square footage from 2000 square feet all the up to 15,000 square feet. I focus on delivering a quality product within budget and I love doing challenging projects that many other builders don’t like to take on. I’ve learned that in construction, where there is a will, there is a way.
